L is the side panel (front-to-back depth), W is the face width, and H is the height. Inner, die-face, and outer sizes use a single-wall tube, not the mailer double-wall formula. Die face is crease to crease.
Folding cartons are often 0.3โ1.2 mm. This page allows 0.2โ5 mm.
Inner W = die-face W โ 2T; L and H match the die face. Outer L = die-face L + 2T, H = die-face H + 2T, and W matches the face die. All three match when T = 0.
Reverse tuck: the top lid and tongue are on the front, the bottom lid and tongue on the back, with a crease between lid and tongue. Dust flaps sit on both sides, with a rounded tip, steep sides, and a short angled return to the hinge. The glue flap is on the left of the front, tapered at both ends, about 12โ15 mm, adjusted with caliper.
One-piece reverse-tuck carton. Left to right: glue flap, front W, side L, back W, side L. The top lid hinges on the front and the bottom lid on the back. Lid depth is about the side panel, and a shorter tongue continues past the lid with its own crease. Dust flaps hinge on the side panels: rounded tip, steep sides, and a short angled return to the hinge, stopping short of the opening center. The glue flap tapers at both ends. Clearances are in caliper T. A 3D preview is not on this page yet โ cut from the flat die. Units are mm. Check sizes before you cut.
